The Eileen Boevers Traveling Troupe is back! Singing, dancing and acting their way through wonderful musical revues, the Traveling Troupe is a unique group of extraordinary young people, ages 10-14, who travel throughout Chicagoland delighting audiences of all ages. These performances are targeted to children ages 4-10. They can be booked for your fundraiser and/or make for a great family outing!

The Traveling Troupe consists of 5th-8th graders who perform original musical revues in repertory between December and June. Performances may occur during school days, but most are on evenings and weekends.

NEWS

The Troupe has also traveled to Italy and to our state capitol. Its alumni are busy at work on Broadway and in L.A.!

AUDITIONS

Auditions for the 2008-2009 Eileen Boevers Traveling Troupe will take place on Monday evening, September 22, 6:30 - 8:00 PM. The first day of Troupe will be Saturday, September 27. Check back here for more info on auditions.

The Troupe for Fundraising or Special Events

Consider booking the Troupe for your Fun Fair (they can do several short shows in a day in an activity room!), for your company’s family holiday party or for any fundraising event. They will travel to locations near and far, or you can arrange a private fundraiser at Apple Tree. Call (847) 432-8223 for details.

You can also celebrate your child's birthday with the Traveling Troupe! Enjoy a custom tailored show from the repertoire of the Troupe on Apple Tree Theatre's stage. The birthday child and guests will have an opportunity to perform with them! Best for ages 4 through 10.

EXPECTATIONS

REHEARSAL & ATTENDANCE

Traveling Troupe rehearses almost EVERY Saturday during the school year, 9a-12p in Highland Park, Sept. 2008 thru May 2009. During a semester, (September-December, and January-May) a Trouper is allowed ONLY 3 absences. This INCLUDES illness, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Church commitments, other performance opportunities, School or Family obligations, ETC. Please see tentative rehearsal schedule for more specific information.

TUITION

Please pay your tuition PRIOR to the first class meeting by calling (847) 432-8223. We accept Mastercard and Visa. If you wish to pay by check, please stop by the theatre.

Tuition for the year is $600. This includes 3+ hours of rehearsal a week (Traveling Troupe is considered an Advanced Class of the Eileen Boevers Performing Arts Workshop), rehearsal sheet music and recordings, Troupe Costumes, and Troupe Jackets.

Troupe families are also expected to provide their child with Troupe Basics which includes: Black Jazz Shoes, Black Socks, Black Leotard and Jazz Pants (girls), Black T-Shirt and Black dress pants (boys).
