Directed by Goose Haile

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry is the story of the spirited Cassie Logan and her brothers, the children of sharecroppers in the rural South. Their Mama & Papa have taught them that “Everybody born on this earth is something, and nobody, no matter what color, is better than anybody else…What we do have is some choice over what we make of our lives once we're here.” The white folks, however, intend to put the Logans in their “proper place” using any means possible, including the nocturnal raids of the Night Men.
